Project Description

HarHub in collaboration with Shaqodoon Organization and UNFPA has implemented the socio-economic empowerment youth in Somaliland. The initiative is part of the ILED (Innovative Learning and Entrepreneurship Development) initiative is committed to supporting marginalized and vulnerable youth in Somalia and Somaliland by providing a range of training and mentorship programs to empower the target group. These programs include boot camps, mentorship, life skills training, financial and digital literacy, youth networking events, and support for youth-led organizations.

The Start-up grants offered by ILED are specifically designed to assist young people in the ideation stage of their business development. Through boot camps, incubation, mentorship, and seed funding, participants are provided with the necessary resources to transform their ideas into viable businesses. It is important to note that this funding opportunity is available once a year and will be promoted to youth across Somalia in collaboration with partners, targeting specific cities as agreed upon.
