The Next Economy-Netherlands

Project Description

The Next Economy Program empowered young individuals in Nigeria, Mali, and Somalia and Somaliland helping them unlock their potential, boost their confidence, and strengthen their skills to start successful careers and entrepreneurial ventures.

This initiative kickstarted their futures, providing support to families and communities, and contributing to the productivity and growth of companies and local economies. HarHub is one of the implementing partners and consortium of The Next Economy Program.

Project Goals

The program aims to ensure that the ambitions of young people can be met by the labor market. Young people have more access to education, but changes in the economy require young people to develop new skills to align with a more dynamic labor need.

The Next Economy supports young people in their transition, by providing them with the foundational skills and access to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. Employability opportunities focus on soft skills and providing initial work experience, and entrepreneurship creates new opportunities for those with the ambition and business ideas.
